From 17 - 18 March, the Botswana National Sport Commission successfully convened a two-day Organising Committee (OC) Workshop for the 30th TAFISA World Congress at Mokolodi Nature Reserve, in Gaborone, Botswana.
The workshop brought together members of the Organising Committee and key partners, including the African Union Sports Council Region 5 (AUSC Region 5), Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC), Ministry of Sport and Arts (MOSA), Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) and the Congress Secretariat. The Organising Committee also includes representatives from Gaborone City Council (GCC) and Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO).
TAFISA was represented by Senior Consultant, Game Mothibi, contributing to the strategic and technical discussions guiding the preparation of the Congress.
Over the two days, the OC engaged in focused sessions on governance, stakeholder coordination, partnership development, programme planning, and legacy outcomes. The workshop reinforced a shared commitment to delivering a world-class Congress that advances the global Sport for All movement while positioning Botswana as a leading host nation.
Further updates on preparations for the 30th TAFISA World Congress will be shared through TAFISA's official communication platforms.
